Joe Biden could stop the influx of migrants at the southern border, but he won’t You’ve got to ask yourself, as you watch the historic tragedy that is Joe Biden’s immigration policy, what’s the point of this? Nothing about it is an accident, obviously. It is intentional. Biden did it on purpose. But why? Why would a president do this to his own country? No sane, first-world nation opens its borders to the world. Promising the poorest people on the planet that they can have endless free, taxpayer-funded services if they show up and break your laws isn’t just stupid. It’s suicidal. For generations, middle-class Americans had access to the best health care in the world. But not anymore. That’s over for good. Our system can’t handle this many destitute newcomers. Imagine w...

Rarely is the sequence of cause and effect so clear. The current surge of migrants at our southern border is the direct result of the Biden administration eliminating the Trump rules that had once tamed the flow. Gone are the “safe third country” agreements that helped migrants apply for asylum in countries through which they had already traveled. Gone is the “remain in Mexico” policy that ensured a mere application for asylum would not be a free ticket into the United States. At the same time, Obama-era “catch and release” for minors and family units has made a comeback. As word has spread of this lax enforcement, more and more migrants throughout the world are attempting the journey. The border crisis has immediate legal and humanitarian consequences, but what can we expect the downstrea...
A Republican senator is slamming President Biden for terminating the declaration of a national emergency at the southern border while paying Department of Defense contractors millions of dollars not to build the wall, saying Biden “is paying professional construction contractors to babysit metal to the tune of $2 billion and counting.” Oklahoma GOP senator James Lankford noted in a press release, “More than 180,000 migrants attempted to cross our southern border in June alone. On January 20, President Biden issued Presidential Proclamation 10142, which terminated the federally declared emergency at the southern border and halted the construction of the congressionally funded border wall, citing the need to ‘assess’ the wall’s construction.
During a roundtable discussion on the future of Venezuela, Cuban immigrant Maximo Alverez shares a warning about current political events in the United States from his own experience in Cuba.
Maximo Alvarez, a Cuban immigrant who is a successful gas distributor in Southern Florida, went viral after delivering an impassioned speech in front of President Trump on Friday about the virtues of living in America and told the protesters outside the White House not to be “useful idiots” in the Democrat drive to Communism.
An accused rapist was released from custody in Montgomery County, Md., despite a request from Immigration and Customs Enforcement to hold the suspect until further notice. Police arrested Rene Atilio Ramos-Hernandez on the rape warrant June 18 before he was released June 23. ICE had prior requested to be notified if Ramos-Hernandez were to be released and asked Montgomery County officials to hold him until he could be picked up.
A large number of non-citizen Hispanics, as many as 2 million, were illegally registered to vote in the U.S., according to a nationwide poll. The National Hispanic Survey provides additional evidence for use by anti-voter fraud conservatives and bolsters an analysis by professors at Old Dominion University who say non-citizens registered and voted in potentially large numbers.
The idea for the subject of an editorial usually comes to me when I least expect it. Sometimes it comes during a conversation with a friend or acquaintance, from something I see or hear from various sources and sometimes (more often than not) the thought just appears out of nowhere. As troubling as this topic is for our country and considering the relentless discussions and media coverage, today’s topic hit me like a bolt of lightning when I read a news banner on the bottom of the television screen. Daily, we hear/see the term ‘Battle to Secure the Border’ and have come to accept it to mean one thing, when in fact, the very essence of the subject means something quite the opposite (depending on the lens you are looking through).
I’m back! After five very exciting months researching, compiling and preparing my family’s history, my work with it is done. And yes, it feels like there is a void in my life now that it has been published and distributed. The last thing on my mind going into this week was to write an editorial, but so much misinformation is being spewed regarding our border, protecting it and our sovereignty, my message is screaming to be put down in writing.
Three illegal immigrants, who avoided capture after Oakland Mayor Libby Schaaf blew the whistle on a raid by federal immigration authorities last month, have since been re-arrested for new crimes including robbery and spousal abuse, ICE officials said. Schaaf tweeted out a warning ahead of the raid in northern California last month, infuriating Immigration and Customs Enforcement officials and the Trump administration. “How dare you!” Attorney General Jeff Sessions said in California this month, addressing Schaaf. “How dare you needlessly endanger the lives of our law enforcement officers to promote a radical, open borders agenda.”
