WASHINGTON POST SETTLES DEFAMATION SUIT WITH COVINGTON STUDENT NICK SANDMANN

Nick Sandmann, the student from Covington Catholic High School who went viral after wearing a Make America Great Again hat, tweeted today that he and the Washington Post settled the defamation lawsuit that he filed in early 2019:

Bullying is OK in politics, but not at school?

Much has been written recently about the ongoing saga of recent budget cuts made by the politically powerful in order to punish Senator Josh McKoon. Multiple members of the Columbus delegation have admitted as much and apparently have no problem with the fact that bullying tactics are used on a regular basis in politics. This certainly isn’t the first time Columbus State’s funding has been held hostage over a member acting on his conscience.

There’s More: Edelman Did This Before, And Worse

The Internet reacted. On Wednesday afternoon, Edelman released a brief statement apologizing for his actions . Just before that apology was released, Boston.com received a tip from a “former manager” of a “Back Bay sushi restaurant,” who stated that he had read the Edelman email exchange published on this site, and that when “it sounded familiar” he realized he had seen a similar email exchange several years prior.
